This is an opportunity to earn 3 Merit Badges at Merit Badge College (must attend 9:00-12:00 Jan 27, Feb 3, Feb 10, Feb 24 (Snow Make-up Mar 3). Classes given at Lyman Hall High School in Wallingford, CT.) MB College is open only to First Class and above ranked scouts. Cost = $26

TROOP 788 SEQUASSEN CAMP REGISTRATION - JULY 1-7 

Please complete this Registration once for EACH Scout attending Week 2 (July 2-8) of Boy Scout Resident Camp at Camp Sequassen with Troop 788. Standard Camp Fees are $460, but if you register with the Troop and pay prior to April 13th, there is an Early Bird Special of $435.

ANNUAL SKI & SNOWBOARD OVERNIGHT
 PICO MOUNTAIN, VT

EVENT DESCRIPTION:  Two-day, two-overnight ski/snowboard trip for scouts and families to Pico Mountain, Vermont (http://picomountain.com/site/index.html).  Complete learn to ski/snowboard packages available directly from the mountain.  If you need ski or snowboard rentals, please arrange for them locally prior to your trip. Outdoor Sports in Wilton, CT (http://www.outdoorsports.com​) offers reasonable rates and the time saved by renting in advance is well worth it. The Troop will not be coordinating rentals although they are also available at the mountain.

Note: Liability Waiver and Event Confirmation -- your family registration is neither guaranteed nor finalized until the online Liability Waiver has been accepted and payment has been received. If payment is not received by Sunday, December 20th, 2015 your registration may be invalidated and your reservation given to a wait-list family. 
 
OPTIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: 
  • One or Two nights accommodations at the Cortina Inn. Hotel swimming pool, hot tub & game room http://www.cortinainnresort.com/
  • Buffet breakfast at the Inn (included in room rate)
  • Catered "all you can eat" dinner at The Cortina Inn on Saturday evening**
  • One-Day or Two-Day ski pass to Pico Mountain (note if conditions warrant, we could change tickets to Killington for a higher price).
  • Group Lessons offered twice daily at 9:45 or 12:45
  • Ice Skating at the Cortina pending the completion of their new rink (cost TBD and paid separately)
**Dinner will include:

Chicken Parmigiana with Marinara sauce, Meatballs, Penne Rigate pasta, Garlic Bread, Cup of Soup, Mixed Vegetable Medley, Salad with assorted dressings, Fresh baked Brownie, Choc Chip  Cookie and Ice Cream for dessert

 
ACCOMMODATIONS:  Cortina Inn, 103 U,S, Route 4, Killington, VT  (http://www.cortinainnresort.com/) just minutes from the mountain. Scouts not attending with their own family must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them. These scouts will be assigned a room with fellow Scouts, in accordance with BSA Safe Scouting guidelines and procedures. Scout only rate is based on double occupancy. No scout will be allowed to room alone.
 
PRICING:  
  • Room cost: $153/night double occupancy, $164 (3), $175 (4)
  • Dinner & Dessert:$25 adults & older Scouts, $18 (age 10 and under)
  • Adult Lift ticket: $65 for 2 days /$42 for 1-day
  • Scout Lift Ticket: $55 for 2 days /$35 for 1 day 
  • Group ski or snowboard lessons: $31/lesson (1hour 45min)  ***reservations must be made in advance***
  • Snowsports MB: $5 (partial completion)
  • All taxes and gratuities are pre-paid for your convenience
 
COUTS ATTENDING WITHOUT A PARENT: Scouts who would like to attend without a parent need to travel with, and be the responsibility of, another adult on the trip. Scoutmasters can not be responsible for accommodating single scouts as they may be traveling with their own families and may not have room to do so. If an adult agrees to take on a "single scout," that scout will be assigned a room with a fellow "single scout".  No fewer than two unattended scouts/room allowed, per BSA guidelines. Three scouts/room will only be honored if a two per room option is not possible (cost adjusted accordingly). We will try to avoid more than two to a room for unattended scouts. The "Scout Only" rate is based on double occupancy.  Single scouts are responsible for arranging their own transportation (to and from VT and also to and from the mountain) in advance. Please do not assume your son has a ride unless you have confirmed it with the adult who has agreed to take him.  
 
PAYMENT:  Payment by credit card along with receipt of liability waiver is required to confirm your reservation. Payment is due December 20, 2015. A $15 transaction fee will automatically be added. This is the Troop's cost for using credit.
 
CANCELATION FEES: You will be charged for one night per room ($153) if you cancel after December 29th, 2015 and we cannot resell your room(s). Lessons and Lift fees cannot be refunded after January 20th.
 
OTHER INFO:  A detailed follow-up note to all attendees with additional reminders/logistical info will be sent about one week prior to the event.  Note:All attendees responsible for their own lunches on both Saturday and Sunday as well as dinner Friday and Saturday night.
